I have a question about the scale. I stumbled on PTA not to long ago here and am amazed by all the paper models, exactly what Im looking for. Ive done some Sci Fi paper model games for a wile but always had that soft spot for that WW2 setting. My question is about how big are 1/72 models in inches. Also Im assuming they are pre colored from the printer and require no painting?
Thanks

good question. the most common models are WW2 tanks and they are 2.5 to 3 inches long and .75 to 1 inch wide. newer tanks are larger (M1A1) as well as larger items like buildings and boats. the standard height for a figure is 1 inch. the models are colored/textured, but the directions offer clues on where to paint. this is typically the white edges and scored fold lines as well as any additional parts like tooth-pick gun barrels. the paints we recommend on the site are acrylics. they are easy to use and very inexpensive.

Sounds kewl, I think you explained most of it in the email. lol ;D Also was wandering, I also thaught up another question about how big is the bunker, and morter bunker. Also about how big are the planes such as a P 51 B, Im guessing they are also scaled to matchup to size to say if they were standing next to a tank. Are they small enough to make a flight stand for?

the corner bunker is about 6 inches long. the mortar bunker is smaller, abot 4 inches. the single engine aircraft have a wingpan of abot 5-6 inches. all models are scaled to approximately 1/72 scale.

Ok, sweet. Perfect size, for some reason the few pics on facebook made the planes look bigger so it made me wonder lol. Tho only other thing I'd have to figure out is how to make a good flight stand. when I get them.

we don't have any simple stands for aircraft (maybe we should), but i think i remember there being some paper stands available at; www.papermodelers.com/in their download section.
