Hello to all, I am playing about with a new software package that is dedicated to buildings and the like, and after seeing the free offering of a building for gaming, wondered if, a selection of possible PILL BOXES of both actual or free lanced types, would, be of interest to the people of this forum. They would be as stated above, but, with the loop holes and door ways cut out, could be used internally as well as just props!!!; let me know what your thought are, thanks..... Regards to all................Tom..

Where I grew up, on the East coast of England, we had loads of pillboxes scattered around the countryside and the beaches. I remember one being at about 45* to the horizontal, as the coastline had been eroded quite a bit since WWII. Used to play in them as well. Which wasn't too hygienic, as they were full of litter, including manky p*rn magazines and used condoms! Yuk!!!

Thanks for the feed back will indeed start to compound some pictures and information of some types to get started; i did a quick proto to see what and how etc etc, done on 240gram, only needing some 1mm or, cerial carton type board as backing for extra rigidity, if you want to that is!!!.
Thught i would do some metal rusted panes in the models so as, you could seal up an opening or two, so will keep you informed; if any one wants to mail me on this subject, please do........Regards and thanks........................

To get a really tough model, I use thin corrugated card - the sort used for boxes of cat foot sachets or those 3litre wine boxes. Have the corrugations run 45 o to the main fold lines of the building and it will be pretty strong: ----------------------- |/ / / / / / / | / / / / / / |/ / / / / / / <----- corrugations running 45[sup]o[/sup] | / / / / / /
Note, thought, you will need to trim the edge of the card about 2 or 3 mm from edges that get glued to other pieces with corrugated card as well: |)| |(| |)| cut away edge |(| / |)| / |(|/ |=============
(ASCII art, much quicker than uploading photos... )

we can always use some bunkers/pill boxes. we used to wander around some of the bunkers near us when i was a kid (fort crockett) before they put a hotel on top of it (the san luis). this is in galveston. they were pretty nasty too back then (1982). we have already done an aircraft revetment, corner bunker, point bunker, artillery emplacement, and tobruk. these are available on volume 1 of our buildings. www.papertigerarmaments.com/Buildingsvolume1.html here is a different forum (TMP) link which may prove useful; theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=245336i have TONS of bunker photos saved. i really like the disguised bunkers from the atlantic wall. heck, if we really like them, we'll offer them at our site (crediting you, of course).
